The Atlanta Branch holds their 50^th Anniver­sary Book fair Sep­tem­ber 23 — 27 at the Perime­ter Mall in Dun­woody, GA. In 1997 the book fair became a coop­er­a­tive effort of the three branches in metro Atlanta: Atlanta Branch, Cobb County Branch, and North Ful­ton Branch

All books sold at the fair are donated and all sort­ing, pric­ing and sales are accom­plished by mem­ber vol­un­teers. The funds are used for Local Schol­ar­ships, Com­mu­nity Projects and AAUW Phil­an­thropy ( LAF, Eleanor Roo­sevelt, etc.)

The sale starts with a spe­cial pre­view night Sep­tem­ber 22, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The fee is $5 for the pre­view. Reg­u­lar sale dates are Wednes­day, Sep­tem­ber 23  through Sat­ur­day, Sep­tem­ber 26 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with e Sun­day, Spetem­ber 27 hours from Noon to 7 p.m.
