Now is your chance to make com­ments and offer amend­ments to the the AAUW Pub­lic Pol­icy Pro­gram. The dead­line is Novem­ber 17 for amend­ments and revi­sions and Novem­ber 30 for com­ments. The AAUW Pub­lic Pol­icy Com­mit­tee will final­ize the pro­posed pro­gram which will be pre­sented to the mem­ber­ship for a vote in 2011.

The Pub­lic Pol­icy Com­mit­tee rec­om­mended amend­ments are avail­able on the AAUW website.

To access the One Mem­ber, One Vote online sys­tem, log in to the AAUW Mem­ber Cen­ter using your AAUW mem­ber ID and then select One Mem­ber, One Vote from the left nav­i­ga­tion menu. To review, pro­pose amend­ments, and dis­cuss AAUW Pub­lic Pol­icy Pro­gram online, select Pub­lic Pol­icy Pro­gram from the left nav­i­ga­tion menu.

The Fall Lead­er­ship Meet­ing will fea­ture Audrey Sal­gado, Mem­ber of the AAUW Lead­er­ship Corp. She will be facil­i­tat­ing a ses­sion on the Future of Geor­gia AAUW. Reg­is­tra­tion and refresh­ments start at 9:30 a.m. The meet­ing ends at 3:45 p.m. Down­load the reg­is­tra­tion form and mail as directed by Octo­ber 25.

The Geor­gia AAUW Fall Board Meet­ing  is sched­uled for Octo­ber 30. Our thanks to Marie Bruner and the Colum­bus Branch, who will be host­ing the meet­ing at Girls, Inc, Baker Cen­ter at 3535 Levy Road, Colum­bus, GA.

Audrey Sal­gado, AAUW Lead­er­ship Corp, who spoke at our state con­ven­tion in April, will be the keynote speaker  and will facil­i­tate an exploratory workshop.
